There is so much homegrown talent and many important emerging voices and stories in children’s books to celebrate. We have been enjoying this year’s submissions for the 2026 Sheila Barry Best Canadian Picture Book Award.
Our shortlist will be announced in the coming week as our jury convenes and thoroughly reviews the wonderful work of Canadian authors, illustrators and publishers from the past year.
